Since the filing of this contempt petition, number of affidavits have
been filed.
The intractable issue regarding recruiting regular teachers in place of guest teachers remains unresolved. A statement was also made before this court on 19.12.2016 that efforts were made to complete the entire process at the earliest.
It is evident that education of students studying in various government schools may be suffering due to
this continuous uncertainty. It is therefore necessary that this court is apprised of the various cases still pending with regard to appointment of regular teachers and steps contemplated by the State. To render assistance on this question, respondent no. 1 shall depute a responsible officer not below the rank of Joint Secretary who shall remain present in court on the next date of hearing.
